The 'Important' folder is a special gmail folder. So if you delete an email from the 'All Mail' folder it would be deleted and that email would also be delete from any other folder it is in. If you delete and do Not put in gmail Trash folder, then gmail will only remove the 'label' and auto archive the emails in the 'All Mail' folder. Gmail will auto empty the Trash on server every 30 days and this will also delete them from the 'All Mail' folder. When you delete emails in an imap gmail account they must go to the gmail 'Trash' folder which might be called 'Bin'. However, they understand that people like a more conventional view of emails that are organised in a way that makes it easier to see emails aka 'Folders' which gmail call 'Labels'. Gmail keep all your emails both incoming and outgoing in the 'All Mail' folder. Sounds like you are talking about an imap gmail account.
